The comrades

so zameer handed me a box of what seemed to be chicken nuggets as we waited for the others at the new block. what felt like hours sitting there just the two of us was hardly even two minutes. tonight we are attempting what people might say is un-atemptable. we are going to break into the office. to steal. the AS results. :o
it was 3.am and it was as quiet as an exam hall except for the loud wind whistling over lembah beringin. Megat and the others arrived at the rendezvous point as planned. i swallowed my last chicken nugget and walked up to him, "you dont have to do this," i whispered in fear of the guards hearing us. i could see from the look on megat's face,he realised the consequences of this mission, his scholarship could be revoked, stripped off his house-captainship and a criminal record that wouldn't really look nice with his ucas form. with all our ucas forms.
nadeem lead the first battalion of junior topazians silently pass the it lab corridor. i got a text message from amir harris, the seniors are waiting at the guard house. somehow fez managed to sneak up behind one of the guards and cleanly executed the masterlock while radhie knocked out the female guard with his beak. me and zameer were hanging from the aircond vent (i didnt know we had one of these) in the accounts department, avoiding the laser sensors. all the junior topazians somehow managed to form a human ladder (it was mindbogglingly awesome i swear), and lifted nadeem onto the college roof. as one of the guards flashed hi light towards the rc, a myriad of poisson tipped arrows blocked out the moon and bathed the guard with authentic sarawakian venom. "shhh, we observe complete silence" hazman exclaimed as he gave OG a hive five. everything was going according to plan. we managed to put down three guards while still maintaining our ninja-like swagger. me and zameer were struggling to balance ourselves mid air, we were supported by the rope they used during life savers club meet.
the body of the guard recently taken down by hazman and his team of sarawakian headhunters was pulled into a nearby AHU room. a junior diamonder i of whom failed to learn his name took the keys out his pocket. it opened the the power room where keri did his magic. a few wires were cut here and there and poof, the laser sensors were gone. zameer and i were lowered onto the accounts department floor. we rummaged through the drawers, the cabinets, the files. "eureka," zameer exclaimed. the key to the exams office. ^_^
we broke into the exams office at 3.25 am. it was dark and quite except for the x-pax advertisement playing on the prepaid vending machine outside. we hacked into the college system in a matter of seconds. sweat was pouring profusely across my forehead. my fingers hammered the keyboards as cool green glowing binary codes flashed across the screen.
exactly at 3.30am nadeem fired a red flare form atop the college roof. sam burst through the gates with the seniors in his escalade. i lifted my kain pelekat and ran across the orde cosmos and into the car. sam floored it. we were home free.
then i woke up. i was on my bed in my room p-11-b. double six, single three. no adin singing in the toilet. no rushdan and chaq in aqil's room, doing their bio homework. no radhie to greet you when you pass p-10. no fikri swabbing his booger on your arm. no arvind in his bermuda shorts having breakfast at the dh. no jahar to cut your hair. no blonde to blondify your life. this is the KY i wake up in now. so i went back to sleep, hoping i would dream about chicken nuggets. rather that than 2 blocks of malaysian studies.

The coetaneity

Dry soot was gently raining
from the soft purple sky.
One landed on my nose,
then you brushed it aside.

Why must dusk turn to evening
and sweep the hues goodbye?

Maybe i should stop complaining
because tomorrow I'd hear her hi
and one thing that she knows
is that her smile makes things alright.

The contention

INITIATION:
it feels kinda awkward blogging again after such a long period of absence. i even forgot how to start writing and stuff. so howdy, and welcome back. i've been busy preparing for my preparations for AS trials and AS. This way i'd be as twice as prepared. suck on that

PROPAGATION:
at the moment i'm stuck with my chemistry homework (where stuck here means im tired and i cant bring myself to do another question without banging my head against my table shouting 'LOUD NOISES'). on another note, i've been meaning to blog about some stuff and shit so here goes:

some graphs of light from the not quite recent KYUEM battle of the bands 2011

the night started out with a few bands rockin out and ended with a few bands winning stuff.

sometime after the battle of the bands, myself along with some friends volunteered to help Puan Jas facilitate a motivational seminar for the UPSR students of SK Lembah Beringin.

first, there was an ice breaking session to make the kids feel comfortable with each other and the facilitators. after that they were divided into groups and we were assigned to a group each. my group was the coolest, hands down. the kids were learned a lot of useful skills such as mind mapping, the skill of listening, and self reflecting.

my favorite part was when we get to lead them out of the hall and teach them informally in the outdoors. this was good as it broadens their horizons of the vast possibilities of science and creation. i personally thought them to question everything. everything from the grass they walk on to the sky we all take for granted. why do trees need to grow? why is the sky blue? what is lightning? how is water absorbed into the roots of the tree and transported to the extremities of the plant? apart from sparking their interest in science and knowledge beyond their syllabus, i managed to sharpen their grasp of english and at the same time improve my communication skills. its different when you talk to kids as their minds easily wonder. but this does not mean they lack the attention span and makes them a poor student, i always ask them, what are you thinking? its amazing what children can imagine, if only we could tap into their fragile minds, and see for ourselves the wonderfulness of their imagination.

at the end of the day i was well bushed. even so, the seminar was a success, the kids i assume went home with a same vision, to excel. i think i can speak for all of us when i say that it was truly delightful that we were given the chance to inspire these children and at the same time learn so much from them. the knowledge that you've made a little difference if not a big impact was rewarding enough.

TERMINATION:
okay i wish i could write more about the UPSR seminar but i've spent quite a long time here now and i think i'll get back to work. im gonna probably do some maths coz you know what they say, 'do some maths, then only will you appreciate chemistry'.
